Biometrics is a term that used in describing a time keeping machine that is used most of the companies. when you are confused with the meaning of biometrics here I explain it later because when you search on the world wide web its meaning you can find this:

The first, which is the older and is used in biological studies, including forestry, is the collection, synthesis, analysis and management of quantitative data on biological communities such as forests. Biometrics in reference to biological sciences has been studied and applied for several generations and is somewhat simply viewed as “biological statistics.”

More recently and incongruently, the term’s meaning has been broadened to include the study of methods for uniquely recognizing humans based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits. “

But from here the meaning of biometrics is different if you talk up computer terms. Biometrics are devices used for timekeeping that are connected to the computer or sometimes they are stand alone. This is a kind of timekeeping that uses fingerprint scanner or a card (cards that are able to read and write by a card reader) Meaning you can log-in or out even without the computer itself. Biometric devices has the capability to store log coming from the employees. Then from time to time you can download all of them and put it to a payroll system that is commonly used by any companies.
